Summary: Coordinates activities of other food-service employees. Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
  • Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
  • Responds to customer complaints in person at the time of the complaint and via email for electronic complaints.
  • Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
  • Uses proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory-cash reports-production records.
  • Responsible for proper cash handling (deposits - petty cash - change funds).
  • Orders food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
  • Directs and participates in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees.
  • Ensures proper completion of food safety logs.
  • Develops sanitation schedule and ensures food-service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Provides written and oral instructions.
  • Help select and orient employees; oversees staff training in areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of food service experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.

Job Summary

Acts as Lead person and leads Food Service Workers in daily food and tray line set up, service and clean up/sanitation.
Helps train new staff; conducts inventory, assigns tasks, monitors portion control and ensures service areas and equipment are sanitized and cleaned and procedures for recipes, menus, quality and safe food handling guidelines are followed.

Certified Food Service Handler's Card (as required by local Health Department). Food Handlers required upon hire for all locations for SLC positions

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required) Food Handlers Card - Certification - Food Service Certification Food Service
