Cashiers Office Job Description
General Duties: * Involves direct interaction with students, providing assistance, guidance, and ensuring a positive experience. * Evaluating student accounts by reviewing, analyzing, and processing data. Processing student payments and mail payments. * This position requires excellent customer service skills, a thorough understanding of university policies, and the ability to handle a variety of student inquiries. Duties: * Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and other visitors in person and on the phone. * Provide exceptional customer service, aiming to create a welcoming environment for students and visitors. * Direct students to the appropriate departments or resources as needed. * Have a strong understanding of financial aid and the FAFSA processes. * Advise current students, prospective students, and parents regarding financial aid. * Processing payments in person or through the mail. * Provide information on university policies, procedures, and services offered. * Address student concerns, complaints, or issues, providing prompt and effective solutions. * Escalating complex matters to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary. * Maintain clear and professional communication with students, faculty, and staff. * Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of student interactions, requests, and outcomes. Skills: * Strong communication skills (both verbal and written). * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. * Proficiency in using office software and student management systems. * Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Work Environment: * Front-line role requiring regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff in a busy, fast-paced university setting. * Infrequent evening or weekend work may be required, especially during peak registration times or special events. 40 hours per week (additional hours during peak times). Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Anticipated Hiring Range
