The Program Manager, Board Certification Programs will be responsible for leading project logistics in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deadlines are met, and projects launch on time and at the highest quality. The person in this role will also develop and maintain productive relationships with project teams, faculty, program participants, and key stakeholders regarding product development. This position will be based onsite in our Bethesda, MD office, and the employee in this role will be working in a hybrid environment, consistent with Association-wide ASHP policies applicable to HQ-based employees. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The base salary for this position is $72,000-$78,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. What You'll Be Doing
Determines work priorities, policies and operating procedures.
- Develops and manages live and enduring activities for ASHP's board certification review and recertification education product line.
- Creates timelines that identify and sequence detailed tasks to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Develops and manages productive relationships with project teams, faculty, program participants, and key stakeholders regarding product development, ensuring project deadlines are met in an efficient, timely, and fiscally responsible manner.
- Maintains timely and professional communication, including written, electronic and oral communication, with staff, contractors, vendors, program faculty, and other stakeholders.
- Prepares contracts for content matter experts and ensures the timely execution of the contracts.
- Responds to customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Creates program handout materials, presentation materials, online surveys, and collateral materials.
- Reviews slides, handouts, and other materials prior to final distribution to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provides complete and accurate information for the Provider Web Tool (PWT) to ensure compliance with requirements of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- Collaborates with the eLearning division staff to complete a comprehensive review of products prior to launch.
- Manages all aspects of faculty recordings and editing, ensuring a high-quality output for learners and a positive experience for faculty.
- Processes faculty honoraria and other project expenses.
- Tabulates product evaluations to ensure the quality of educational programming.
- Creates and maintains accurate annual reports to the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
- Coordinates field testing of assessments for board certification activities as assigned.
- Maintains project files to ensure all required documentation is readily accessible in compliance with Office of Professional Development and Publishing procedures and requirements of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), BPS, and other applicable accrediting bodies, to allow for timely submission of all materials/applications/reports.
- Communicates project risks including recommending potential solutions to prevent projects from getting off track.
- Provides onsite meeting management services for live activities and other projects as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to ASHP
- Three to five years of prior related work experience.
- Minimum of a degree plus a working knowledge of the theories and standards of a related field or discipline in pharmacy, business, project management, educational development, or association management.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Highly motivated and demonstrates a "can do" attitude.
- Demonstrated agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer-oriented attitude.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience with audiovisual editing software (e.g., Camtasia) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira) preferred
- Willing to travel occasionally to conferences. Travel will be domestic and is anticipated to be around 2 times per year
- Prior experience in medical education project management a plus but not required
