What you can expect to be doing:
- Driving business growth - expectation of an 40%/60% split between development of new business and launching/advising new projects to ensure high quality delivery and managing junior staff to achieve project goals
- Define and implement strategies to expand market share in target industry associations, corporations and communications firms.
- Establish high-level client relationships and represent the organization in key industry events.
- Serving as a senior leader on the team to ensure junior staff are trained and prepared to deliver highest quality work; understands and leads in the development in data collection and analysis tools
- Ensure client satisfaction with deliverables as well as employee satisfaction through a commitment to professional development anchored in the business's core strategy
- Compelling and market impactful thought leadership in requisite areas of expertise
- Has a sales goal of a minimum of $2,000,000 per year; with increasing sales goals each year ($2 to $4M per year)
- Is available to travel outside of homebase area (DC area)

- In addition to meeting sales targets, the ability to "Wow" clients through highest level of analysis and written and/or presented materials. Essentially, we want our clients to see you as a consultant, combining insights with "what's next" ideas.
This might be the job for you if you have:
- Established professional committed to providing evidence-based strategic insight and communications strategies to senior clients; position focus will be in growing expanded portfolio of business in industry association, foundations, and corporations nationwide, focused on public opinion polling for thought leadership and strategic communications.
- 10 to 12 years in the areas of public policy, communications messaging development and testing, and /or public polling and strategic communications consulting.
- Expertise in public polling questionnaire development, survey program and sample management.
- Experience overseeing social science research projects, including complex survey programs and analytical products
- Knowledge of social science research methods and ability to advise clients on issues of research design
- Demonstrated success in working with industry association, foundation and private sector clients delivering strategic advice and delivering quality work on-time, and on-budget
- Track record of consistently increasing private sector business revenue through the capture of new work and organic/incremental growth within existing client projects
- Strong dynamic speaking skills and a commitment to developing and disseminating thought leadership
- Professional experience working with or working at management consulting firms, social science research firms, marketing communications companies, global public affairs firms, etc.
- MA/MBA/PhD/Above or equivalent experience.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $140,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
