While we can't solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we're looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.

How you'll make an impact:



  • The Strategic Sales Manager will develop and manage long-term relationships with senior executives at hotels (primary role) and car suppliers to facilitate the growth of Travelport Advertising.
  • The role requires Digital Advertising knowledge in B2B and/or B2C sales in the Travel Industry, preferably experience in relationship building and solutioning to large hotel chains (primary) and car clients at a corporate level.
  • This role is part of a Global Team and requires all the attributes of an expert consultant/relationship builder, and team player that develops and maintains interactions at all levels in the global organization.
  • The successful candidate is responsible for revenue growth and for implementing a sales strategy. Also, drive activities and measurable progress to achieve revenue quota with a proven track record in exceeding such quotas.


Your role in action:



  • Responsible for achieving assigned individual annual sales targets.
  • Demonstrate a consultative and solution approach with strategic clients.
  • Effectively present the company's advertising opportunities to the prospective hotel and car clients, encouraging long-term, high $ value participation in our media channels
  • Prepare pre-sales and/or account plans using hotel data insights to demonstrate where / how we can help the client to grow their business.
  • Present either in person, on the telephone, or via webinar - the range of opportunities at senior level within the hotel or car company.
  • Maintain frequent communications with strategic accounts to support account plans/sales plans.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence, Business Development peers and Ad Operations to prepare and present return on investment reporting to the client during the campaign, and to make recommendations for next stage activity.
  • Represent Travelport Digital Advertising at trade events with the ability to present at conferences to
    senior level if needed
  • 25% travel required



Could this be you?



  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience in relationship management / consultative selling at large B2B and B2C travel industry corporations. With emphasis on hospitality and car.
  • A proven track record in relationship building and achieving targets with a hospitality/travel industry customer base will improve your credentials.
  • Strong presentation skills, follow-up, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are the keys to success.
  • Digital Advertising online and/or Global Distribution Systems background preferred.
  • Requires good knowledge of Sales Force CRM, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and Business Intelligence Insights.

Salary Target/Range: $85,000 - $90,000 / year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. Includes base salary plus sales incentives plan.
