Administers the department staff development and QI programs, assists in the implementation/improvement of Pharmacy programs, and assists the Manager of Clinical Services & Integration. Serves all patients including, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

  • PGY1 Residency Program Director with assistance/coordination role with PY2 Oncology Residency Program
  • Overseeing pharmacy student program for the entire system
  • Overseeing department competency program, including development of educational content, organizing others in development of educational standardization throughout the system
  • Pharmacy lead for MyNorthsideLearning
  • Responsible for education and other standards related to Joint Commission, Disease State Certifications and other regulatory organizations
  • Significant involvement in system wide, interdisciplinary committees including the Physician CME program
  • Significant involvement and often lead of system wide, interdisciplinary projects
  • Significant P&T Committee Involvement
  • Supervisor responsibilities with multiple direct reports

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or five (5) years experience of equivalent knowledge base.
  • Completion of a post Doctor of Pharmacy Degree clinical residency one (1) year or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Three (3) years previous hospital pharmacy practice experience.
  • BLS Certification
  • Ability to develop, organize and implement various programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Evidence of an ability to work well with others, a team player.
  • Evidence of teaching skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Previous experience in staff development/QI.
  • Previous experience in Drug Information Services.
