Get to Know Your Team Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety. Responsibilities The in-house traveler agrees to commit up to a 12 consecutive week assignment, scheduled at least 36 hours per week or 72 hours per pay period. The in-house traveler agrees to accept unit, location, and shift assignments by Hillcrest Hospital South and understands that the shift and unit assignment may change during the assignment period. Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy, and physiology, and use and care of surgical instruments and equipment. Assist the surgical team in accomplishing surgical care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Understand the surgery schedule workflow and is available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning. Qualifications Job Requirements: Current valid and unrestricted Certified Surgical Tech certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Active BLS certification Minimum of one year of recent (within the last 2 years) hospital experience in the selected area.
