We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team and ensure the well-being of our employees and compliance with all safety regulations. Position is located in the Portland Metro area.

The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment at our rock quarry, RM, AC, construction and aggregate operations. This role involves overseeing a team of safety representatives, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Manage and lead a team of safety representatives, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and develop corrective action plans.
  • Conduct safety training and education programs for employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
