Responsibilities

The Space & Intelligence HR Team is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner who will support multiple programs and leaders across the portfolio in HR activities including workforce planning/talent management, performance management/employee relations, compensation reviews, leadership development, education/training, and engagement activities. The ideal candidate will be viewed as a trusted partner who is eager to learn from an experienced HR team. Selected candidate should be extremely organized, responsive, consultative, and collaborative in driving win-win solutions. The ideal candidate will engage and support Peraton's Strategic Imperatives, Operational Priorities and be an ambassador for the Sectors employee retention, engagement, and culture initiatives.

Additional background and experience required for this role includes, but are not limited to:

    Ability to drive HR initiatives (multi-task and execute on a timeline)
  • Strong relationship building skills; develop collaborative partnerships across the business and HR Centers of Excellence to accomplish tasks and projects
  • Proven track record of being able to work in fast paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to identify trends and patterns in data
  • Facilitate positive employee and leadership relationships
  • Work with confidential information and communicate with team members with appropriate discretion to their role

Qualifications

  • 0-4 years of HR Business Partner experience with Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive material
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability/Willingness to make site visits minimum of two days per week

Preferred:

  • Human Resources Professional Certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SP)
  • Experience with Human Capital Management software (e.g. Workday, iCIMS)
  • Defense Industry experience
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • Preference for the HR Business Partner to be local to the Washington DC Area where the HR and the Sector leadership teams are located

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
