Description
This position pays $17.40 (including Shift Premium) with increases at 90 and 360 days. The Assembly Machinery Operator is accountable for a variety of tasks including; assembly of connector materials in compliance with internal, manufacturer, and/or military quality standards; safe operation of various machinery within the Assembly department; and ability to positively lead and deliver desired results from their assigned work cell. Performs all assigned assembly operations to meet and exceed customer expectations regarding quality, cost, and on time performance according to work order specifications and deadlines. The role is also accountable for meeting and exceeding company-wide expectations in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude/teamwork; cross training in all areas of assembly as required; and other tasks and duties outside primary job function as assigned by management. ACCOUNTABILITIES Performs assembly operations while utilizing a staking machine and other machinery. Prioritizes customer work orders and completes required assembly of connector materials for rush orders first; verifies material quality and quantity counts at each work station, and completes work orders according to requested ship date. Performs de-reeling operations while utilizing multiple de-reeling machines. Handles and installs cutting dies into de-reeling presses, loads materials onto machine while performing all required safety checks and machine / cutting die adjustments to ensure proper cutting of parts. Ensures that cutting dies are maintained in proper working order and properly stored when not in use. Ensures TTI meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery within the areas of assigned responsibility. Meets and exceeds established quality goals in relation to errors measured as "parts per million" produced and productivity goals as defined by Management. Actively participates in job qualification audits and strictly adheres to all established standard operating procedures. Maintains acceptable time and attendance based on TTI policies defined by Human Resources and Operations. Demonstrates a positive "team" oriented attitude and approach toward all work assignments. Contributes to the ongoing success of the entire Operations team by willingly accepting and embracing "other tasks and duties as assigned" along with willingness to help the department as a whole. Other measurements of attitude/teamwork include, but are not limited to, effectiveness in working with co-workers, ability to work overtime, sense of urgency within the department, ability to work unsupervised, overall flexibility, and positive attitude focused on delivery of desired results for TTI. Ensures a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safe operating expectations and by following established housekeeping requirements. Notifies management of any observed safety hazards. Actively cross trains in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required; minimum three years recent manufacturing / production / assembly operations experience is preferred.
