Description
The Sales Support Specialist assists with the proposal response development and delivery process from beginning to end. This includes assisting the development of project plan, assembly of project team, assignment of responsibilities based on areas of expertise, kickoff call, draft production, scheduling of review sessions and oversight of final production and submission. This position will report to the Sales Support Manager and have no direct supervisory responsibilities. Reviews internal customer-facing newsletters, training materials, etc. to maintain and enforce brand and departmental standards and ensure consistency. Analyzes proposal and addendum documents as needed. Plans periodic meetings with functional corporate and affiliate subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of content. Curates content question and answer sets and keeps proposal management systems up to date. Supports the full cycle of the sales process by providing additional services before and after the RFP to the sales organization as new requirements and client requests are identified. Identifies opportunities for process improvements for achieving efficiency gains and quality improvements. Updates and maintains pertinent proposal business information via departmental shared drive, tracking systems, win loss analysis and work flow tracking. Assists with the maintenance and continual improvement of the online proposal database content. Assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the team at any given time. Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: 2-3 years' experience analyzing data and creating reports. 2-3 years' experience assisting with internal and/or external customers or accounts. 1-2 years' experience assisting with RFP projects and/or process activities 1-2 years' experience working with contracts Proficient with Microsoft Office products suite, and ability to learn new software applications and computer programs. Ability to become proficient with customer relationship management (CRM) software; Sales Force experience preferred Work Conditions Position is located at the corporate office Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm |
