Position Description
A job involving an appointment for infrequent temporary work where the employee is called in as needed.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Maintain Up-to-date documentation in accordance with standard laboratory practice and TTUHSC rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring supplies with expiration dates are ordered at appropriate times and in adequate quantities to avoid waste.
  • Ensures working conditions of all essential laboratory equipment, including freezers, fridges, incubators, gas cylinders, liquid nitrogen storage, and others as designated by the PI.
  • Safeguard research resources (cells, samples, and other perishables) in case of
    malfunction.
  • Take appropriate measures to remediate malfunctions while working with the department's equipment technician.
  • Responsible for experimental results that are reproducible and can be interpreted. Ensure that the analyzed experimental data is accurately presented in summaries.
  • Maintain a safe and clean laboratory as well as organize appropriate contents on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure the Laboratory is stocked with necessary supplies and consumables for uninterrupted functioning.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in one of the sciences.
