Overview

E2 is hiring a Transmission Line Design Engineer who will manage and develop new projects once data collection, research and analysis are executed. They will do active research to design new projects and to prepare and present new ideas to improve current processes which impact the business; researching, collecting, and analysing data for the strategic decision-making process in new project developments.



Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload

    Responsible for the transmission line design and/or overseeing a contractor who is performing the transmission line design for generation tie lines, reconductoring projects, and new transmission lines.
  • Transmission line design projects will vary from 66 to 500 kV. Responsibilities include but not limited to ordering material, issuing drawing packages in PLS-CADD and AutoCAD, and quality assurance of contractor work.
  • Responsible to attend project meetings and represent transmission engineering and provide project updates to stakeholders including schedule updates using provided scheduling tools.


Qualifications

Required Skills / Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One (1) to Three (3) years of experience.
  • PLS-CADD software.
  • High voltage Transmission line design experience.

Desired Skills:

  • California PE
  • Familiar with GO95
  • AutoCAD
  • DC line design experience
  • SPIDACalc
  • Background in QA/QC

Wage Data Per State Requirements

The salary range for this position is $143,104.00 - $178,880.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
