The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a non-student short term casual to work as a part of Dr. Keyes' social epidemiology research team and research projects. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Keyes to support ongoing public health projects, including data cleaning, IRB and other regulatory support, and generating reports. The short term casual will also conduct analyses of existing public use datasets from completed public health projects, assist in drafting manuscripts, and development of grant proposals. Preferred Qualifications A master's level degree or higher is required. Strong writing skills and familiarity with data management and analysis are required. Programming experience in python is required. The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in addition to a demonstrated ability to be flexible to the evolving needs of several social epidemiology health studies. A strong background in machine learning, including natural language processing, is preferred.
