Supervisor I, Maintenance & Reliability

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Supervisor - Maintenance & Reliability to help maintain efficiency of production equipment while leading a small team.

This role will be a full-time position located at our Nusil Technologies facility in Bakersfield, CA.

The team

As part of NuSil's Biomaterials Operations Mechanical Organization, the Electrical Controls Team is a sub entity of the Reliability and Maintenance business unit which is responsible for helping with the maintenance and workflow of the facility.

What we're looking for

• Education: HS Diploma or Ged is required; trade school or college preferred
• Experience: 7-10 years maintenance or electrical experience combined with 5 year minimum supervisory/lead experience required. Programmable Logic, controls and interface experience along with electrical trouble shooting, (low to high voltage), drive and inverter controls experience also required. CA, P&ID capability experience, basic MS Office (365 preferred), scheduling or work order assignment experience a must.

How you will thrive and create an impact

As the Supervisor of Maintenance & Reliability (Electrical & Controls), you will develop and lead the Electrical & Controls Team of four Electrical Instrumentation Technicians to maintain efficiency of production equipment, continuous improvement of electrical controls, troubleshooting and repairing critical equipment, maintaining the monthly preventative maintenance, maintain all trainings for electrical OSHA requirements, maintaining and updating all equipment drawings to current status, contributing to PHA requirements through OSHA and ASME standards.

• Coordinate schedules and workflow for the team who repairs and conducts preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility.
• Supervise day-to-day work of maintenance employees.
• May manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• May assist higher level supervisor
