Hourly Rate: $21.04

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive services to engage families in their own development to strengthen their family systems, protect the health and well-being of their children, and improve their economic status and conditions.
  • Serves as a 2nd tier in quality assurance measures for ERSEA, Health History, and Transition process.
  • Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and families when it comes to desired staff behaviors, including but not limited to initiative, empathy, and compassion; promotes positivity, community and social responsibility in all job-related functions
  • Works actively with the Early Head Start Child Care Partners, assisting staff with connecting families with community resources which includes one on one support to early childhood teaching staff relating to family partnership agreements, parent participation, and integration of child and family curriculum
  • Participates in team management functions of planning, implementing and evaluating family and community engagement goals and objectives
  • Responsible for all health and developmental related tracking and follow-up, including but not limited to, physical exams, special health needs, dental exams, dental follow-up, and immunizations.
  • Recruits prospective families and assists with enrollment process; completes home visits as needed.
  • Ensures an appropriate written transition plan is prepared for all children, six months prior to their third birthday.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field. Associates degree or higher in Education will require earning a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, or counseling within 12 months of hire; Child Welfare Certification case manager preferred
  • 2+ years of related experience with children and families in a social services or educational environment required; Child Welfare or Self Sufficiency program experience preferred. Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area.
  • Must meet state criminal background check requirements. Must be able to work Saturdays and evenings for Parent Engagement and Child Care Partner activities
    Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license. Must be able to travel for training, as required. Travel requirements include local, in/out of state.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
