Summary:

In this role, you will drive organizational resilience and safeguard critical health care data. You will spearhead efforts to protect and sustain the operations of Vizient, ensure the company's ability to recover from disruptions, maintain compliance with regulations and continue delivering exceptional value to our clients' organizations. You will build and lead a world-class program that mitigates risks, strengthens organizational resilience, and positions Vizient as a trusted leader in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BC) strategy tailored to the unique needs of the business.
  • Establish and maintain governance framework, policies, and procedures to effectively address and minimize organizational risk.
  • Lead design and execution of DR/BC plans, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop metrics to ensure the health of the program and report to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate across different disciplines in the business including IT, product, and cybersecurity.
  • Asses third-party dependencies on vendors and ensure vendor alignment with Vizient's DR/BC program.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and xRAMP as well as internal controls standards.
  • Provide leadership during disruptions ensuring rapid response and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to drive improvements in organizational resilience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executives, provide regular updates on program status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Grow strong partnerships across business units to promote a culture of preparedness and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong experience in DR/BC or related fields, with experience in a senior leadership role is required.
  • Expertise in DR/ BC frameworks including ISO 22301, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), or Control Objectives for Information Technologies (COBIT), and healthcare-specific regulatory standards required.
  • Proven ability to lead DR/BC initiatives in a healthcare or other highly regulated environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based and hybrid IT environments with a focus on healthcare data protection required.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels required.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems such as EHRs and other clinical data systems preferred.
  • Background in risk management and third-party vendor assessments preferred.
  • Certifications including Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications are preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
