Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join them. You will report to the General Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Function as a contributing member of the local leadership team

  • Assist in the development and execution of local strategy

  • Ensure 100% product quality through collaboration and promoting a "Quality First" culture.

  • Lead quality teams to establish and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Ensure QMS compliance with AS9100/ISO9001, FAA PMA/TSOA, and FAA Part 145 regulations.

  • Promote customer engagement through effective communication.

  • Report Key Process Indicators to enhance customer satisfaction and financial performance.

  • Support the QMS framework, including personnel accountability and procedural methods.

  • Maintain compliance with FAA and EASA certifications.

  • Oversee Quality Engineering staff and promote Lean practices and continuous improvement.

  • Reduce scrap, rework costs, and quality escapes.

  • Manage new design releases with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop Quality personnel for business goals and career growth.

  • Implement protocols to meet customer contractual expectations.

  • Interface daily with production and offshore operations on quality issues.

  • Serve as the customer contact for manufacturing and quality-related matters.

  • Uphold Moog's Values and drive continuous improvement.

  • Ensure accountability to external authorities like AS9100, FAA, and EASA.

To be considered for Quality Assurance Manager, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or bachelors degree with quality management related experience.

  • 3 years of management and/or related leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 8 years of professional or technical experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in team building, career development, and performance management.

Salary Range Transparency:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
