Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Product Validation Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Product Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of Milacron products, systems, sub-systems, and key components.

Work You'll Do:

  • Gain fundamental knowledge about systems, components, and their test standards to be used for validation

  • Perform validation tests on components using global industry validation standards (e.g., Euromap, ISO, EN) and the validation standards of Milacron to identify issues and correct them using a systematic problem-solving approach

  • Acquire relevant test data using equipment, instruments, sensors, oscilloscopes, and DAQ systems, and maintain this data using appropriate data management practices

  • Analyze test data using various DAQ/Data Analysis software and create high-level data analyses pertaining to the performance and reliability of components

  • Apply DFMEA methodologies and accelerated life cycle testing to ensure the reliability of systems and components

  • Maintain a detailed validation log with regular visibility for the product chief engineers and applicable leaders of engineering groups

  • Ensure the calibration requirements of instruments used are met

  • Occasionally travel to customer sites for field validation requirements or to resolve critical issues, and to suppliers' sites for pre-validation trials as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering field

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of testing, validation, R&D in the machinery industry with high/standard production volume

  • Knowledge of strain, stress, vibration, and other mechanical properties as well as sensors and instrumentation

  • Knowledge on hydraulics & its components like pumps, powerpacks, and valves, with the ability to read, interpret, and understand hydraulic schematics

  • Knowledge on electronics, control systems, automation, and sensors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant engineering field
