EP Technical Support Coordinator

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a EP Technical Support Coordinator position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of administrative tasks in a corporate environment, while working alongside a seasoned team of professionals and field service technicians. The EP Technical Support Coordinator will be exposed to a broad variety of technical support practices and processes, including but not limited to records management, research, file reviews and updating, form updating and processing, scanning, and blueprint interpretation. The overall objective of the EP Technical Support Coordinator position is to assist in efforts that will ultimately help to achieve department objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:


  1. Provides assistance with technical support preparation and procedures.
  2. Acts as liaison between Customers and service technicians to work through site visits requirements such as safety requirements, tool requirements and arrival/check in procedures.
  3. Read, understand, interpret and categorize blueprint drawings
  4. Assists on a variety of administrative projects related to the department, including scanning, data entry, and blueprint interpretation.
  5. Reconciles invoices, tracks and processes billing approvals based on successful completion.
  6. Facilitates payments and ensures required documentation is secured. Monitors all closed jobs; ensures all are billed 100%
  7. Provides Manager with project documentation upon completion to submit to customer.
  8. Responsible to help identify new opportunities for Service inspection contracts and renewal of Service Inspections contracts.
  9. Conducts research as needed.
  10. Reviews and updates appropriate records and files.
  11. Assists in the organization of the document management systems, as well as document scanning.
  12. Uses Salesforce to perform tasks.
  13. Maintains strict confidentiality on all matters.
  14. Assists with special projects as assigned.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, stand, sit, and use hands.

Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High School Diploma with relevant work experience in administrative role/office setting. Strong record of organizational leadership. Highly proficient pc skills in documents, presentation and spreadsheet plus other software applications, including Adobe and Google Docs. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills needed to accurately communicate with customers. Must be able to meet new challenges and work with a variety of personalities with a professional demeanor. Must have a basic understanding of the responsibilities of working in an office setting.

PREFERRED: Multiple years admin experience. Manufacturing industry experience. Experience working with field service groups. Salesforce or similar CRM software experience. Active leadership and involvement with educational and public service or nonprofit organizations.
