About the Opportunity:

At Machinify, we're continuing to building a robust security program to protect our clients' sensitive healthcare data and maintain the highest standards of information security. As part of the Security team, you will help implement and maintain critical security controls across our organization. This role involves hands-on security operations, incident response, and compliance activities, with a focus on protecting our infrastructure, applications, and data. As a Security Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in security tools, threat detection, and risk management to help safeguard our systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of secure solutions.

What you'll do:



  • Serve as a key member of our incident response team, handling Tier 2 security incidents and conducting thorough investigations
  • Manage and execute our vulnerability management program, including scanning, assessment, and remediation tracking
  • Support endpoint security operations through EDR/MDR platform management and monitoring
  • Conduct security architecture reviews for new systems and applications
  • Participate in cloud security initiatives and SAAS security assessments
  • Assist with security administration, including access reviews and security tool management
  • Support audit and compliance activities for SOC and HITRUST certifications
  • Help develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Deliver security awareness training and guidance to employees
  • Contribute to attack surface management and third-party risk assessment programs

Qualifications

What experience you bring (Role Requirements):



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience in information security
  • 3+ years of experience in information security, with hands-on experience in security operations and incident response
  • Strong understanding of security tools, including EDR/MDR, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM platforms
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or HITRUST
  • Security certification preferred (CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar)
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration


Expectations:



  • Maintain security best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of security controls
  • Participate in on-call rotation for security incident response
  • Cross-train with team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of security functions

  • Develop efficient workflows for routine security tasks

  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new security tools and techniques

  • Gain confidence in handling security incidents independently
  • Become comfortable with security tools and processes

Pay range: $65,000 - $95,000 USD

This is an exempt position. For Salary positions only: The salary range is for Base Salary. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee's geographic location.
