Position Summary:

Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) seeks an experienced locksmith who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing locks and security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of lock mechanisms, security solutions, and key systems.

**Position is contingent upon award of contract.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

*Install, repair, and maintain locks, keys, and security systems for homes, offices, and commercial buildings
*Cut, rekey, and duplicate keys ensuring proper functionality and security
*Respond to emergency service calls such as lockouts, broken locks, and key retrieval, providing quick and effective solutions
*Troubleshoot lock and security issues, providing expert advice and recommendations for repairs or upgrades
*Insall and maintain high-security locking systems, including access control systems, electronic locs, and safes
*Keep accurate records of services performed, including parts used and time spent
*Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
*Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in locksmithing and security technology

Education & Experience Requirements

*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Three (3) years proven experience as a locksmith
*Must posses a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:

*Strong knowledge of various types of locks, including traditional, digital, and high-security systems
*Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work independently or as part of a team
*Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work

Other Requirements:

*Ability to pass background checks and security clearances as required by contract

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

*Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations
*Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility
*Work may be performed both indoors or outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
*Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
*Requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time
*Work will involve traveling to various locations, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties
*Work may involve lifting and moving heavy items up to 50 lbs
