Intern - Talent Acquisition

The Cone Health Talent Acquisition Team is directly responsible for the sourcing, recruitment, and hiring of tomorrow's healthcare professionals. Supporting a health system of over 13,000 employees serving Alamance, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, and surrounding counties, Talent Acquisition utilizes a variety of innovative recruitment strategies for meeting the system-wide hiring demands of both Cone's clinical and non-clinical leadership teams.

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date of June 2, 2025. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.

Interns hired for the summer cohort will be enrolled in Campus Greensboro's Summer Fellows Program. This is an in-person, professional development training program sponsored by Cone Health.

To be considered, candidates must meet at least one of the below criteria:

  1. Local College Students: Attendees of local institutions including University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Guilford College, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College, Bennett College, Elon University and School of Law, North Carolina A&T State University.
  2. Guilford County High School Graduates: Those who graduated from Guilford County high schools and are now furthering their education outside of Greensboro.
  3. First Generation College Students: Students who are the first in their families to attend any college or university.

**Please include your GPA on your resume**

  • Gain knowledge and experience of Talent Acquisition's recruiting process (intake and Service Level Agreement)
  • Learn how to screen resumes for various open positions
  • Support Managers/TA Consultants/Sourcers with various administrative tasks, as needed (e.g., scheduling, recruitment event research)
  • Schedule candidates for interviews, as needed
  • Provide on-the-ground support during Talent Acquisition events
  • Assist with special TA projects and other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
  • Undergraduate level students junior classification or above, recent graduates, and graduate level students pursuing the following majors: HR, Business, or Health Services Management/Healthcare Administration
  • Minimum Program GPA of 3.0
EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

  • Passion for pursuing a career in the talent acquisition field
  • Expressed interest in the healthcare and community wellness field
  • Proven ability to work with consideration and respect for cross-cultural differences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record for meeting deadlines
  • Previous recruitment or HR related internship/work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
