Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to creatively solve problems from the conceptual stage through to completion on mid to large scale health projects;
  • This position offers an extremely unique opportunity to work within a national healthcare design firm;
  • The candidate will be working integrally with senior medical planning staff to realize plans for multimillion dollar hospital campuses as well as stand-alone clinics and outpatient facilities;
  • Actively collaborate in the technical development of projects;
  • Maintain communications with the client and consultants on project status, design intent, user group concerns and questions;
  • Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex healthcare plans;
  • Produce planning documents in support of Programming through Construction Document Design phases;
  • Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents;
  • Evaluate design for code compliance and assist in plan check review and approvals;
  • Coordinate with all other team members on project assignments;
  • Collaborate with the design team and Owner to resolve and implement distinguished design concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution;
  • 8+ years experience with large architecture project delivery;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience programming and planning medical facilities from outpatient clinics to inpatient facilities;
  • Must have the capacity to organize and run clinical end-user interface meetings in development of plans;
  • Understanding of medical equipment for all types of clinical environments including surgery, imaging and critical care;
  • Proficiency with general digital office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Outlook as well as specialty AEC industry tools like Revit and dRofus;
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong organizational and time management skills.
