Summary
Performs various functions and duties related to Distribution Center operations in making and monitoring customer shipments and inventory management functions related to customer order processing. Prepare and evaluate customer order paperwork and distribute to picking employees. Oversee customer specific order requirements. Prepare and distribute various shipping documents and forms including, but not limited to: Bill of Lading, Proof of Delivery and Export Documents.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Print and review (evaluate) Picking Tickets for customer orders and distribute to Pick/Pack and Shipping Employees.
  • Plan, review, and print customer specific labeling activity.
  • Oversee various customer specific shipping requirements, i.e. carrier, packaging, shipping method, date, etc.
  • Calculate and prepare various performance metric reports.
  • Interacts with customer service personnel by phone, e-mail and/or instant messaging to satisfy order processing requirements. Provide timely information regarding inventory availability, order shipping status and other needed information.
  • Interacts with external and internal customers, i.e. customers, vendors, freight carriers, inventory management personnel, and other Haldex personnel in-person or via telephone, e-mail or instant messaging.
  • Prepares, monitors and maintains paperwork related to export shipments. Prepares export documentation and distributes accordingly.
  • Monitors various order analysis reports to research and reconcile billing and shipping problems.
  • Assists in the order pick/pack and shipping process as needed. May occasionally be required to operate a forklift and/or perform other picking, packing or shipping activities.
  • Filing and/or distribution of all shipping and invoicing related documents.
  • Participate in Haldex Way team activities and projects.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Clerical experience a plus
  • Six months experience in related field or warehouse/distribution center work.
  • MS Office experience - proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate well (oral and written) with coworkers, supervision and other management positions. Telephone usage is a must, so good telephone communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
