Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION: Hearing Instrument Specialist. Operate audiometric equipment and interpret the results. Provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests and hearing aid fittings. Educate and train hearing aid users of best practices. Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices. Troubleshoot, repair, and clean hearing aids and earmolds. Support Telehealth initiatives (Remote Care) to expand patient care and product portfolios including conducting hearing tests and educating patients on hearing aid devices. Perform other similar, related tasks as necessary.


Qualifications

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences, or a similar, related field, or the foreign equivalent. Must have at least two years prior full-time experience as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner, or Hearing Aid Specialist, or in a similar hearing care provider role. Must have or be able to obtain a State of California Hearing Aid Dispenser License (at least as a Trainee).
