Job Title: Clinical Payment Specialist Duration: 10 Months (Possible Extension) Location: 100% Remote Purpose The Clinical Payment Specialist is responsible to manage clinical site payments from contract execution through reconciliation. Job Responsibilities * Manage appropriate prioritization of executed Clinical Study Agreements (CSAs) to enable efficient entry of contract terms and budgets into the appropriate finance system. * Establish and maintain relationships with accountable country CSM, Contract Management Specialists & Assistants and affiliate financial staff. Provide direction for budget development, contract mapping and invoice processing questions in relation to the payment process. * Manage the purchasing process within SAP at the affiliate level for clinical site contracts. * Apply critical thinking skills to resolve any payment issues that arise by interacting with the sites, CSM staff and affiliate finance. * Conduct final site payment reconciliation * Identify risks and trends that may be noted during contract mapping, invoice creation, payment processing and reconciliation and develop a mitigation strategy to be shared to minimize errors across studies and countries. * Develop best practices and make recommendations to leadership for process improvements. * Responsible for ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with Client policies, procedures and SOP's Qualifications * Successfully completed secondary education. Completion of tertiary commercial or scientific education or equivalent highly preferred * Experience as an assistant, ideally in the field of clinical studies, medicine or Pharma-industry and interest in economic and finance-related data strongly preferred. * Some experience in budget and/or payment processes would be an advantage * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel * Demonstrated customer services expertise including good written and verbal communication skills. Written and verbal fluency in English and preferable Spanish. * Excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. * Able to work well within a team and autonomously Key Stakeholders * Clinical Site Management (CSM) * Finance, including the Affiliate Finance and US Site Payments Team * Purchasing including, Outsourcing and OUS Contract Management Group * Clinical Development Organization (CDO) * Legal * Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) * BTS Information Research What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position: 1.
