How you'll make an impact:

SiriusXM Connect is a market leader in this space providing services to major car makers such as Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Fiat Chrysler, Hyundai and many others. We save lives every day in addition to providing convenience driven by the latest technologies to millions of drivers.

We are looking for an intern to join a dynamic and innovative engineering team in the connected vehicle space with SiriusXM. As part of this group you will get exposure to real world technology and hands-on exposure to software engineering work. Interns will get mentorship and will have an opportunity to truly experience large scale software applications, practical innovation and processes.

SiriusXM Connect has a dedicated intern program that is committed to provide mentorship to interns to shape their future and make them "Market Ready" by providing them an opportunity to work on real world applications.

What you'll do:

• Be part of the team that continues to Evolve SiriusXM Connect and is a Leader in Connected Vehicles

• This team will be enabling the new era of connected vehicles as well as enhancing the services offered by SiriusXM Connect.

• You will have the opportunity to work on a development team and gain first hand experience in a real world Agile environment.

• Demonstrate your ability to quickly debug issues and identify solutions.

• Apply your passion for Computer Science, writing software and building innovative apps.

• Learn mobile app development ( either Android or iOS).

• Gain hands-on experience in modern stack development

• A bias for action.

What you'll need:

• Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.

• Passion for computer science, writing software and building innovative apps

• Drive to work in real world environment

• Knowledge and interest in:

  • Software design principles.

  • SDLC

  • Systems Architecture

  • Any programming language, especially Kotlin or Swift and Python.

• Passion to learn about mobile application development (iOS or Android)

• Passion to learn about modern SDLC, extreme programming, and devops.

• An innate curiosity and a drive to learn.

• A bias for action.

• Demonstrate an ability to communicate as well as collaborate with internal customers.

• Perform tasks with moderate supervision.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

• Prior experience writing software is a plus.

• Experience with AWS is a plus.

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
