Description

ISCO Industries is an end-to-end piping solutions provider that specializes in HDPE. The Manufacturing and Capital Project Manager position mainly supports ISCO's manufacturing facilities across the United States. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage capital and manufacturing projects that support company growth. This position is based in our Louisville, KY fabrication facility where we have a dedicated projects area for product R & D, equipment design/development, and fabrication. Work with the Manufacturing and Capital Projects Team, individual plant leads, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to bring projects from conception to completion. Plan and manage projects from the Louisville office as well as travel to ISCO's many sites for implementation and support. Work both independently and in collaboration within the Manufacturing and Capital Projects Team.

Essential Duties



  • Manage capital projects including:



    • New specialty equipment specification, procurement, and installation
    • Forklift, crane, and other standard equipment specification, procurement, installation, and tracking
    • Existing equipment rebuilds and moves
    • New equipment design, fabrication and installation
    • Facility projects ranging from remodels and additions to new builds



  • Manage manufacturing projects including:



    • New product R&D
    • Lean manufacturing and process improvement
    • Production work cell moves or expansions
    • Tooling specification, design, procurement, and fabrication



  • Perform project management tasks for existing and new manufacturing and capital projects including creating and maintaining project:



    • Charters
    • Scopes
    • Schedules
    • Cost trackers
    • Risk registers
    • Handoff documentation
    • Lessons learned



  • Communication with:



    • On-site vendors for facility projects and equipment installations
    • Vendors for outsourced fabrication, machining etc.
    • Equipment manufacturers
    • Part suppliers
    • Internal stakeholders including on-site leadership and subject matter experts, Manufacturing Projects Team, Quality, Safety, and Management



  • Work extensively with the Manufacturing and Capital Projects Team Members as subject matter experts on a variety of projects
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance resources, and report on status regularly
  • Recognize opportunities for value creation and innovation in the project management process and within the Manufacturing and Capital Projects Team
  • Develop and maintain document and organization standards within Manufacturing and Capital Projects Team
  • Document and organize all projects worked on.
  • Support operations and company initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.


Base Qualifications and Competencies



  • Education: Qualified candidates will possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP certification preferred
  • Experience: 5 - 15 years. Project management experience required. Experience with manufacturing equipment or facilities management preferred.
  • Skills:



    • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.).
    • Scheduling (Smartsheet preferred)
    • Strong communication and organization skills required
