Job Description

This position plays a major role in the strategic efforts to support and expand oncology clinical trials managed by the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.

Responsible for various projects and project management related to the following:

* Start-up process oversight and management
* Budget formulation and review assistance
* Working in collaboration with physicians to identify standard of care vs research, as well as routine clinical workflows for budget creation
* Ensure that a nurse has reviewed the protocol in full at an early point in the process, helping to identify any logistical issues/gaps
* Creating and streamlining current start-up project management
* Strategic projects for leadership
* DWG and PRMS advice and assistance as needed
* Feasibility assistance
* Vet trial documents (pharmacy manual, lab/path manual, protocol, IB etc.) to quickly identify/budget for billable items
* For a complex protocol that requires a lot of work in start-up, ensure clinical research nurses set up the appropriate workflows
* Created clinical research order sets electronically in Power Chart (Trial Specific Power Plans)
* Serve as the primary representative from CTO Nurses in the beginning stages/development of OnCore (reviewing/editing calendars, placing tickets, reviewing/tracking amendment development, and entering patients into the system

Shift

Shift Type: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm, with occasional other hours as required by study protocols
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: No

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in clinical oncology, clinical research/clinical trials, and oncology clinical research and trials.

Preferred certification in clinical research by Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Professionals (SOCRA).

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $67,746 - $80,000
