Responsibilities

Are you ready to join a group of passionate information security professionals focused on State Farm's safe adoption of public cloud infrastructure? In this role you will be able to showcase your knowledge of various ways application infrastructure can be attacked in the cloud and the configurations that can be used to prevent it. You will be challenged to think "outside the box" in creating detections for these situations and will work across multiple product teams within the enterprise to create consumable security solutions.



Qualifications

Required technical skills/experiences:

  • Application/infrastructure development and support experience in cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
  • Experience with various software development tooling and techniques (e.g. Python, GitLab, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of information security standards and practices
  • Current threats and trends impacting the information security threat landscape

Other required skills/education:

  • Passion for solving problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative agile team environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, cyber security, or equivalent degree program (must have degree completed by May 2025)

Additional skills/experiences benefiting someone in this role:

  • Experience using cloud native container services
  • Relevant information security or public cloud certification(s)
  • Experience creating and supporting application dashboards
  • Experience troubleshooting applications via log review
