The Role

The Sr. Systems Software Support Engineer is tasked with supporting Lumen Enterprise orders by ensuring successful activation and orchestration processes. Application Support Engineers leverage their extensive knowledge of software applications, systems, and networks to offer technical assistance to users, troubleshoot problems, and maintain optimal system performance.

Location

This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to software and or workflows and work with development teams to identify and execute system improvements.
  • Assist users and clients in understanding and effectively utilizing software applications.
  • Monitor applications for potential problems and correct issues proactively to prevent major issues. Conduct postproduction release validation and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate across IT departments to solve technical problems.
  • Maintain records of software bugs, glitches, and the resolutions implemented.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users to help them better understand the software and or workflow.
  • Respond to application outages/issues during daytime and evening hours
What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT Application Production Support experience.
  • 3+ years managing production and maintenance projects.
  • Programming experience in Python and SQL Scripting for creating user-based tools and automations that proactively address order flow issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Desktop applications
  • Strong application trouble resolution skills to independently perform analysis and support of complex application environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field.
  • Federal Government Clearances (USDA and GSA).
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: LA
