Job Highlights
- Perform daily routine laboratory analytical testing on raw materials, in process samples, and finished goods.
- Enter analytical results in the appropriate databases in a timely manner and generate COAs when necessary
- Support process improvement, manufacturing, and HSEQ related current processes and new projects
- Report periodic statistical results to Quality Management to identify deviations and provide corrective measures or alternative solutions to deviations
- Train and assist chemists and operators in their development and knowledge of laboratory equipment and protocol; serve as backups to other chemists as needed
- Support and report specific HSEQ related functions such as wastewater monitoring, safety related functions.
- Complete and be current in relevant laboratory and safety related training as required
- Solve problems related laboratory or plant operations that arise from a technical nature
- May be required to perform job related functions not detailed or outside current job description.
Requirements
- BS degree in Science or Engineering preferred; non degreed individuals must have proven scientific or engineering experience with the technology, procedures, or methods with 3-5 years of experience in similar work environment
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of standard laboratory instrumentation and practices
- Capable of leading and directing project teams as needed
- Working knowledge of SAP desirable
- Good communication and strong organizational skills
