Looking for a highly motivated individual to join a research team focused on regenerative biology. The Galloway lab investigates the development and regeneration of the musculoskeletal system with a focus on connective tissues, using molecular and genetic approaches. The position provides an exciting opportunity to gain research experience in a collaborative and stimulating environment.

Duties:

The candidate is expected to independently carry out the daily activities of the laboratory, which include:

  • Performing a wide range of laboratory techniques including molecular biology, cell culture, animal husbandry, and tissue histology.
  • Will be trained to independently perform a research project related to the main goals of the laboratory; will also assist lab personnel with experiments.
  • Will document, compile, and analyze information obtained from laboratory experiments.
  • Will oversee purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Minimum degree and field of knowledge: B.S./B.A. in Biology or related field.

Research experience: Candidates with a strong background in molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Experience with zebrafish, mouse, or cell culture systems are preferred, but not required.
