We're dedicated to customer satisfaction and the best possible workmanship.The Roller Operator's primary job function is to operate a rubber tire or steel wheel asphalt roller to roll the asphalt mat to desired compaction. The Roller Operator is expected to operate other machinery and equipment as needed. Roller Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Duties:

    Set up and maintenance of erosion control devices
  • Loading and unloading of materials
  • Checking and maintaining string line
  • Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids
  • Operates equipment such as pavers, material transfer vehicle, skid steer loaders, and other heavy machinery.
  • Maintenance of all equipment and tools.
  • The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping and bending. Employee must be able to climb equipment's ladder to reach the operators seat.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team and complete daily tasks according to the work schedule.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record preferred.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma
  • Six (6) months of mobile equipment operating experience
