This rotational role will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rapidly growing marketplace business within the automotive auction space of Cox Automotive, a leader in vehicle remarketing services, digital marketing, and software solutions for automotive dealers, manufacturers, and consumers. This is an excellent position for someone interested in learning about the automotive industry. During your internship, you will rotate through four significant areas of Manheim Auctions: reconditioning, operations, dealer service, and commercial services. What You'll Do: Reconditioning service: Ensure vehicles are repaired and painted to meet Manheim's standards and customer or account requirements. Assist in the oversee the quality control of vehicles. Operation services: Assist senior management in developing and executing operational business plans, analyzing operational expenses, and implementing procedures to improve efficiency. Coordinate with Reconditioning, Vehicle Entry, and Commercial departments to schedule and prepare vehicles for sale. Effectively manage all aspects of sale day operations, ensuring all vehicles are correctly staged and efficiently run through auction lanes. Dealer services/Commercial Services: Maintain communication with other departments and the management team, providing relevant information to coordinate department activities and ensure high service quality to internal and external customers. Work directly with customers onsite, via email & phone to ensure expectations are met and service issues are resolved. Who You Are Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as Automotive Management, Management and Information Systems, Business Administration, and/or a related field. Internship positions are in Atlanta, Ga, Dallas, TX, and Detroit, MI.; Cox Enterprises does not provide a housing allowance. Efficient executor and team player. Able to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high-quality deliverables. Physical demand/working conditions Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and depth perception Moderate noise level. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather. Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the session's conclusion, conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time. USD 21.49 - 32.26 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $21.49 - $32.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
