Responsibilities

We are seeking a high performing candidate to provide direct onsite support to a PEO Flag, PEO Executive Director, and PEO Chief of Staff in Naval Sea Systems Command at the Washington Navy Yard. Your primary responsibility is to provide support directly to senior PEO leaders who manage a portfolio of nearly 200 programs and projects. You will be expected to operate independently at both a strategic level to stay aligned with the PEO's top priorities and tasks while also performing and overseeing more tactical and administrative tasks. You will use your expertise to ensure PEO senior leaders are balancing creativity and discipline to achieve deliverables, timelines, and budget forecasts. You will serve as a trusted advisor managing a cadence that enables senior leaders to deliver on established goals and priorities by driving efficiency and collaboration across the team. You will be expected to be onsite Washington Navy Yard 5 days per week. Little to no travel is expected (<5%).

On behalf of PEO senior leaders, you will respond to data calls, provide analysis suitable for recipients at the Flag Officer level, and effectively communicate and collaborate with PEO leadership and their staff, Major Program Managers, Principal Assistant Program Managers, PEO front office staff, and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to manage more tasks like coordinating and executing formal PEO correspondence, task tracking, enterprise and leadership meetings, offsites, military awards, ceremonies and special events.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $160,000 - $210,000.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree
  • At least 15 years of experience, including 8+ years of demonstrated leadership experience as a Surface Warfare Officer -or- 8+ years of experience in a Navy program office or resource sponsor to include understanding of Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) and associated documentation, processes, protocols, formats, and deadlines
  • Active DOD SECRET security clearance with ability to maintain the clearance throughout employment
