The Director of Business Continuity Management is responsible for developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans to ensure a site, function or organization can recover quickly and effectively from disruptions caused by natural disasters, cyber-attacks, system failures, or other major incidents. Individual will be accountable to work with sites, functions, and critical suppliers to build crisis management teams/processes, conduct risk assessments, design recovery strategies, document business continuity plans, and coordinate testing/training exercises and maintaining ongoing communication with key partners across the organization. What will you be doing? * Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis: Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential disruptions and their impact on critical business operations. Perform business impact analysis to prioritize critical functions and dependencies. * Plan Development and Implementation: Develop comprehensive business continuity plans with recovery strategies for various scenarios, including disaster recovery, cyber incidents, and operational disruptions. Define roles and responsibilities for the business continuity team and incident response teams. * Crisis Management Process: Establish communication protocols for crisis situations. * Testing and Training: Regularly conduct tabletop exercises and full-scale disaster recovery drills to test the efficiency of the business continuity plan. Provide training to employees at all levels on business continuity procedures and emergency response protocols. * Maintenance and Updates: Monitor changes in the business environment and regulatory landscape to update the business continuity plan accordingly. Regularly review and revise recovery strategies based on feedback from testing and exercises. * Partner Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance. Communicate effectively with key partners (including IT Disaster Recovery) regarding business continuity initiatives and potential disruptions. * Vendor Management: Evaluate and lead third-party vendors critical to business operations to ensure their business continuity plans are adequate. What will you need to be successful? * Technical Expertise: Understanding of business continuity frameworks, disaster recovery methodologies, risk management principles, and incident response procedures. * Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, facilitate decision-making, and effectively communicate complex information during crises. Outstanding management, analytical, logical and critical thinking skills. Must be able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams seamlessly. * Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and develop sound recovery strategies. * Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion, including timelines and budgets. * Ten plus years proven experience in effectively designing & implementing business continuity planning, risk management and crisis response in a manufacturing environment. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field. * Ability to work in matrix organizations and influence * Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective solutions * Skill to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. * Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others. Extremely results driven. * A tactical, self-starting change agent with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. * Licenses/ Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer are a plus. Location: Remote (Global Role) Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25lbs & walk up to 2 miles on a frequent basis for site tours, inspections & assessments/audits. Travel Requirements: approximately 25% (Global Travel) You Unlimited.
