Business Analyst - Voice & Messaging Products

HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Business Analyst - Voice & Messaging Products. This position assists with interpreting business needs into requirements, prioritizing IT work efforts, and obtaining appropriate approvals and documentation for change management planning. The analyst partners in the creation and execution of functional test plans and ensures that applications in development are system tested.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration or Management Information Systems or 4+ years of IT experience
  • 2+ years of business analyst experience
  • 1+ years of contact center experience.
  • Experience with Workforce Management (scheduling), Quality Monitoring, Chat, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), or Texting (SMS) software.
  • Experience with database, programming languages and end-user software in a networked environment
  • In depth experience with word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software
  • Effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical topics
  • Ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to read technical documentation.
  • Arbitration skills
  • Ability to manage and manage a high degree of change.


Hours/Location:



  • M-F (8:00am-4:30pm)
  • May work remotely but prefer local applicants for onsite meetings and/or workgroup sessions.


Responsibilities:



  • Support 3rd party application software; interact with vendors regarding problems, upgrade schedules, and software installations.
  • Develop technical specifications in alignment with defined functional requirements.
  • Interpret and document business partner needs into functional requirements.
  • Review application problems; informing IT's business partners of current status and expected resolutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business partners and application development team members to analyze, document and validate functional requirements.
  • Design screens, reports, and dataflow to align with business needs.
  • Document and track business application request lifecycles; ensuring priorities, changes and issues are managed for IT application development.
  • Gather information regarding costs and resource availability for SRFs, mid-sized projects and issue resolution.
  • Track, maintain, and retain documentation that supports the adherence to IT standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Clarify and document process, policy, and/or procedural changes for development staff and for IT business partners.
  • Ensure that the appropriate approvals and documentation for change control and problem management are retained.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support for ITs business partners for system changes and/or new developments.
  • Document data flows through applications; demonstrating system functionality.
  • Create and execute test plans for small to mid-sized system changes.
  • Assist with business partner testing efforts and test plan creation; run programs and produce reports to enable business partners testing.
