Could you be the full-time hybrid Test and Commissioning Manager in Pittsburgh, PA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, skilled, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the charge in shaping the future of railway signaling systems by planning and executing the Installation, Test, and Commissioning (ITC) of our advanced Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) Systems. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering, Industrial and Warranty, Verification and Validation), manage the technical supervision of field installation, and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Proactive management of internal and external technical interfaces related to the ITC scope,



  • Deployment and application of Installation and T&C processes within the project,



  • Ensuring ITC activities comply with plan, budget, and contract requirements, and that Alstom standards are followed,



  • Ultimate responsibility for ITC CDRL deliverables and authoring of Test Procedures,



  • Coordination with customers for site access and alignment with the approved project schedule,



  • Weekly updates on ITC activities and the implementation of corrective action plans as necessary,



  • Creation and updating of the ITC schedule as part of the main Project schedule,



  • Management of installation contractors and coordination of staffing and training for the ITC team,



  • Ensuring EHS compliance and reporting of issues,



  • Support and leadership in executing tests, log analysis, and test reports

  • Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field) or equivalent experience,



  • Experience or understanding of Installation, Testing and Commissioning (T&C), or Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for signaling projects,



  • Knowledge of multiple subsystems, including signaling, track, and power, and system integration,



  • Familiarity with project management and interfacing with external customers, partners, and internal stakeholders,



  • Proficiency in English language, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills,



  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously, with a focus on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives,



  • Resilient and analytical mindset, adept at solving complex system failures and identifying root causes,



  • Flexibility and willingness to work on field assignments, including night shifts and adapt to changing circumstances,



  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interfacing with customers and partners at all levels
