We are currently looking for a Pricing & Structuring Analyst who craves a role encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities that will support their ongoing growth and development, spanning from day-to-day operations to exciting projects and initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with originators/marketers and supply & risk functions throughout the transaction process and will be responsible for facilitating the accurate valuation of energy structured products in both power and natural gas. The development and maintenance of structured models may be required for certain derivative valuations. The successful candidate should also be capable of performing hedge effectiveness assessments as applicable to include scenario and stress tests.

Responsibilities

  • Assimilate power and gas customer historical load data which will lead to load forecasting.
  • Develop & employ custom pricing models and risk management tools for power and gas.
  • Assist in portfolio construction and optimization for the power and gas desks.
  • Identify optimal hedging tools for various risk factors for power and gas.
  • Evaluate and maintain various forecasting models and calibration tools for the power and gas desks.
  • Ensure compliance with valuation controls and associated reporting requirements for derivative instruments.
    Build and manage relationships across the organization to ensure smooth exchange of ideas.
  • Work in conjunction with rest of commercial team in order to keep abreast of growth initiatives and help improve processes and execution.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Quantitative/Computational Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another related quantitative field required. Master's degree (or MBA) in quantitative discipline a plus.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Two years prior related professional experience in quantitative finance, financial risk management, or energy related structuring (commercial) role preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of risk exposures, P&L and performance reporting, quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience building financial models and reports. Specific experience building forecasting models using regressions preferred.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel required: Must be experienced in using vlookups, xlookups, and finding weighted average cost using sumproduct.
  • Strong VBA, SQL and general programming skills a plus
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient and enthusiastic individual having a strong desire to grow within Company.
  • Highly Confident, articulate individual who is a team player and works well with others.
  • Ability to prioritize task and be able to respond to changes in priorities.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas in a cohesive, crystal-clear manner to management and customers.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Work available once training is completed - 3 days in the Gainesville, GA office, 2 days remote
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
