Overview
The Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team providing HR services and support to the Department of Buildings & General Services, Department of Taxes, Department of Finance & Management, and Department of Libraries, the Agency of Digital Services, and several smaller departments. Duties will include varying degrees of HR Business Partner/Generalist work depending on the level, including performance management, supervisory coaching, employee relations, hiring and onboarding, position management, records management, and medical leave and accommodation requests. The HRBP is responsible for assisting supervisors with hiring and processing candidates through Success Factors and VTHR, providing guidance and assistance to supervisors on various HR topics including, providing information and orientation to new employees and supervisors, drafting and tracking modified duty assignments, reviewing job descriptions and performance evaluations for compliance and considerable systems work on employee and position data management in the VTHR (PeopleSoft) system consistent with Personnel Policies, Procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements. The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees and management personnel, organize and prioritize work effectively, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills are necessary to track, coordinate and process a large volume of work including operational functions. Ability to work as part of a team and independently, deliver accurate and timely work, and have an aptitude and interest to learn are all key to success in this position. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. The Department is currently supporting a hybrid telework environment. Requests to telework will be considered, with some in person work at our Montpelier office required. Who May Apply

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered. Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year or more of experience in the field of human resources that includes experience with employee relations or labor relations. Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. Total Compensation
