Inventory/Materials Analyst
Alumacraft is looking for an Inventory/Materials Analyst who will report to the Materials Manager and who will be tasked with improving inventory control through the redesign, improvement and implementation of our inventory control systems. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Maintain material and logistics databases including data input.
Apply analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, control, and improve inventory and materials processes.
Compute reporting metrics such as order fulfillment rates and inventory turns.
Monitor inventory transactions, verify the accuracy and recognize opportunities to optimize inventory levels.
Plan and implement systematic improvements addressing root cause of any inventory discrepancies, errors or adjustments.
Act as the local subject matter expert for all material/inventory software and reports.
Create and prepare reports in Microsoft Excel which include logistical data pulled from multiple internal systems.
Participate as a member of the operations team and aid in making cross-functional operational decisions.
Write and/or revise standard operating procedures for logistics operations.
Clearly communicate information to various individuals and teams verbally and in writing.
Effectively resolve conflict and develop strategies to encourage collaboration and teamwork.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or closely related field and 3 + years of related work experience OR 5 + years of demonstrated progressive experience in logistics, inventory control, and/or supply chain management.
Highly proficient in Excel with the ability to interpret data, create spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Software or ERP system experience as an onsite SME / Superuser or ability to become.
Strong analytical skills by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implementing solutions.
Excellent verbal/written communication and collaboration skills with experience presenting information.
Business and management principles including strategic planning, asset management, production methods, and LEAN tools (quality assurance).
Ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time with minimal distraction.
Experience creating, presenting and implementing processes.
Required to work onsite in the St. Peter, MN Plant.
