The
Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for a wide variety of human resources tasks and projects across the core functions of HR; Employee relations, performance management, recruiting & onboarding, benefit administration, and HR processes and facilitation.
Position Responsibilities: * Manage data entry and human capital management within various systems including ERP database, excel spreadsheets, governmental and benefit provider websites. * Manage employee lifecycle (onboarding through termination) for employees * Maintain and ensure accuracy of necessary employee paperwork, records and files * Manage recruitment efforts including attending recruiting events, interviewing applicants, reviewing requisitions, applications, background clearances, and record keeping * Organize administration of the employee leave and benefits programs and annual open enrollment process * Partner with first line managers to provide employee relations advice as well as guidance on policy and procedure. Coach Managers and employees. * Apply critical thinking to automate and reduce administrative tasks. * Work with managers and supervisors to develop and maintain position descriptions to ensure proper alignment within the organization and refreshes position descriptions regularly. * Identify and organize recruiting agencies when needed to ensure staffing levels. * Support the delivery of ad-hoc projects throughout the year which will include research, analysis, communications and annual process improvement recommendations. * Participate in and support employee activity committees such as wellness and ESOP initiatives, including employee communications. * Participate in annual compliance filing processes, audits, and compliance testing by providing data, analyzing data, and submitting data as directed and within required deadlines. * Provide assistance during annual open enrollment process, support employee benefits communications, and review and process benefit invoicing. Interface with benefit vendors to resolve any issues. * Manage unemployment claims and ensure timely response, review monthly UC charges, and attend UC hearings as needed. * Administer the tuition reimbursement program including; updating procedures and forms, verifying eligibility, ensuring all documentation and supporting documentation is complete, and submit reimbursement requests to accounting. * Assist in the employee performance management and compensation cycle. * Support the updating and communication of company personnel policies, procedures, and regulations. Perform audits regularly to ensure compliance. * Assist employees with general information questions * Assist with the planning and coordination of company and visitor events, including contacting caterers, coordinating schedules, picking up of food and materials, etc. * Serve as a back up to the receptionist including operation of the main incoming phone lines and greeting and direction of visitors. * Assist with the filing of workers compensation claims and general support of the Health and Safety program * Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization. Skills & Abilities: * Superb interpersonal skills and customer service focus * Strong computer skills to include ERP system familiarity and Microsoft Office Suite * High degree of discretion and confidentiality required * Strong organizational skills and self-motivation * Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated presentation skills * Experience managing a wide variety of HR related functions in a fast-paced environment * Ability to anticipate problems before they happen, seek ways to continuously improve our work, and have a sense of urgency * Natural ability to be organized in thinking, communicating, and conducting work * A curious mindset that allows you to learn and challenge the status quo Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in HR or other related field, or equivalent years of experience * Certification: PHR or SHRM-CP * Five plus years of experience, preferably in an electrical / mechanical manufacturing or similar environment. * Experience in a business environment that has grown and changed rapidly is a plus * Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Lititz and Lancaster locations as needed Work Environment: * Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations. * 9/80 work schedule. * Occasional travel may be required. * Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visited to Lancaster facility. |
