Job Overview:
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
Responsibilities:
* Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Safely maneuver freight around the facility, on and off racking and trailers, and both indoor and outdoor. * Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. * Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. * Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter. Ability to use hand tools, such as tape measures, hammers, nail guns, pneumatic staplers, hoists, banding equipment, etc. * Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. * Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Collaborates with buyers, schedulers, and the shipping team, to ensure inventory accuracy and timely SAP transactions. * Communicate problems and solution ideas to the shipping lead and supervisor. Identify red dots and use root cause analysis tools to determine permanent solutions. * Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned. Cross-train to assists other areas and team members as required.
Requirements:
* Shipping/Receiving Experience: At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate processing and documentation of materials. * Accuracy in Material Handling: At least 1 or more years of experience in accurately handling material and using computer software (SAP) for product receipt and correct placement within the plant. * Powered Industrial Vehicle Experience: At least 1 or more years of experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling and transportation within the facility. * Data Entry and Computer Skills: t least 1 or more years of experience in data entry, with proficiency in using various computer systems, including SAP. * Production & Processing Knowledge: t least 1 or more years of experience working with raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management to optimize manufacturing and distribution operations.

* HS Diploma or GED preferred
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based 100% onsite at our Springfield, Missouri facility * Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs. * Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, both indoor and outdoor * Working environment temperatures vary substantially * Noise levels vary from moderate to high * Ability to wear PPE during working hours
