Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Cook! The Cook participates in the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares meals for patients, employees, medical staff, and visitors; prepares meals as outlined on the menu prepared by dietary supervisor.
• Effectively operates food preparation equipment to fry, boil, roast, bake, broil, mix and assemble food items.
• Cleans work area as necessary or assigned; checks water temperature to assure compliance with health and safety standards; takes down and cleans serving line promptly after meals.
• Accepts and reconciles deliveries and puts away stock; promptly receives deliveries when notified of their arrival; is polite and helpful to delivery people; follows correct procedures when putting delivered items in their proper storage place; stores items in a timely manner; effectively monitors the use of supplies and notifies supervisor when supplies are limited.
