Position Summary: The Y of Greater Houston was selected to provide community navigation services as part of the United Way of Greater Houston's Second Century Vision. The Navigator Director is responsible for the successful implementation and execution of connecting clients and families with resources in achieving long-term stability. This role involves managing day-to-day client intake, developing and monitoring client goals, tracking and reporting information through the United Way Navigator portal, and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. The Navigator Director will monitor all supporting activities necessary to successfully assist ALICE (Asset, Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) community members in the Far Southeast Harris County to achieve their resiliency goals. With a focus on excellence, the Navigator Director represents the YMCA with enthusiasm and commitment, driving community impact through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Navigator Director will primarily support the clients of community organizations external to the Y of Greater Houston. Essential Functions:

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on- one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
