Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of QA Technician for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. This is a 2nd shift position from 3pm- 11pm, Mon-Fri. Additional $2.50 premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium. Key Responsibilities include: Handling Information /Following Instructions Checking written/printed information Ability to use a tape measure repeatedly Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities Ability to communicate and work effectively with others Accurately document and record information in PRISM Accurately follow prescribed test methods and work instructions Provide information to and communicate to the production departments in a timely manner Key Duties include and are not limited to: Checking quality on every master roll and alerting production crews/Leaders, in a timely manner, if an issue is found Checking, as required per specification, Gas Chromatograph, WVTR, OTR, bonds (interlaminate, heat seal, cold seal), CoF, opacity, basis/total weights, cold seal weights, adhesive weights, ink weights, layer distributions Minimum Requirements: Internal Candidate: Must be in good standing (No Discipline above Step 1 within 90 days at time of application) Must be 18 years of age or older Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Previous quality experience required Able to work any shift Must be able to pass Ishihara color test Must be able to lift up to 42 pounds Must be able to demonstrate how toproperly measure and read a US and metric tape measure during interview.
