The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

As a Legal Intern, you will support our in-house legal team in engaging legal issues pertinent to our business. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals, gaining hands-on experience in legal research, contract analysis, intellectual property issues, and compliance matters. This internship is an excellent opportunity for law students seeking to enhance their understanding of corporate law in a practical in-house setting.

What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing contracts, including sales agreements, service contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Be exposed to a contract request portal and utilize a contract repository tool.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics related to real estate transactions, patent law, trademark registration, and trade compliance.
  • Support the intellectual property team in managing patent and trademark applications.
  • Draft and maintain compliance checklists and reports pertaining to trade regulations and company policies.
  • Attend meetings and take notes for departmental discussions, providing follow-up summaries and action items as needed.
  • Collaborate on special projects and assist with other legal issues as required by the legal team.
  • Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the summer.


What We're Looking For:



  • Current first year law student
  • Strong interest in commercial law or in-house experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel to a JSG location for Intern Training Week
  • 10 week commitment


Compensation:

The position offers a competitive hourly salary of $20.00/ hour.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
