Job Summary
The RFID Lab at Auburn University is looking for motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented students from various disciplines to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This position will primarily involve fieldwork at local partner locations. Fieldwork includes activities such as: RFID tag audits, barcode audits, RFID cycle counts.
Essential Functions
* The student will perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
* The team responsibilities include RFID tagging items in a retail environment and then doing tests with a RFID reader to determine the quality and readability of the tags.
* Students will also be performing in-store barcode/inventory audits.
* Students may occasionally participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing
* Students may occasionally travel to partner locations outside of the Auburn/Opelika area
Minimum Qualifications
* Enrolled student at Auburn University
* Must have reliable transportation to and from partner locations outside of regular business hours
* Must have ability to work weekday evenings
* Technically capable with ability to quickly become familiar with new hardware, software, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Pay Rate Starting at $15.00/hour
